Mia Sheridan is a safe bet if you’re ready to experience emotions, the happiest and the saddest ones. Where love meets destiny is a good example of to that. In each book of the series, you’ll meet with different pair of characters, each with their own painful past and their way to overcome their demons. Sure, the ride can be rocky, sometimes tumultuous, but the happy ending we’re all rooting for is totally worth it.
Archer’s voice
After a painful past, Bree arrives in the small town of Pelion with the unique idea to finally find her peace. But when her life collides with Archer, the first day of her arrival, she’s immediately drawn to this silent and mysterious man nobody seems to see. Except her.
Archer’s voice is the first book of the love meets destiny series and takes place in a small town in Main. You know, those little towns where rumors spread faster than the plague and in which you can’t make people forget about your reputation ? That’s exactly Pelion Lake. Years ago, the tragedy which strikes Archer’s made him loe his family, his social life and, his voice. Since then, he became a recluse, forced to isolate from everyone. However, one day, he stumbles across a woman he’d never met in town, yet he can feel that she’s different. Bree has chosen to restart her life in Pelion after a terrible disaster. Meeting Archer was not expected. Falling in love ? Definitely not in her plans.
This first book is my favorite for multiple reasons, but what has won me is definitely the characters. I loved Bree and her force of characters and even more Archer’s innocence. It was refreshing to meet with a male character completely clueless about women, and in general : two mature protagonists. Plus (I find it important to point out), there is not miscommunication trope.
Archer’s voice is a solid start for this series and you won’t regret giving it a chance.

Most of all you
Crystal and Dalton have both been abused in the past. While Crystal has given up on life, Gabriel has decided to work for his own happiness and is determined to prove to her that she, too, deserves to see that glimmer of hope that has saved his life.
The story also takes place in a small town, like Bree and Archer’s story. If the first book is incredibly powerful in terms of emotion, the story of Crystal and Gabriel reaches another level. Indeed, the book covers very sensitive areas : it delves into rape, abuse and kidnapping, heavy themes which are not for everyone. But, through your read, you understand that Mia Sheridan doesn’t want you only to focus on the characters trauma, but particularly on the road of how they overcome their grief and wound. When you meet with Gabriel, he has already made his part of that road, even though he’s not entirely healed. Crystal, on the other hand, is definitely on the side road, waiting unconsciously for someone to help her explore that path. She doesn’t know yet, but her’s and Gabriel’s life are going to collide in the best way possible.
You might prepare your tissues, but I assure you that the end of the road is bright and happy.

More than words
Jessica and Callen met for the first time when they were only children. When they met again years after in France, their feeling pushes them undeniably to the other. Yet they no longer have a place in each other’s life.
The story takes place in France (though, in a small town) and the male protagonist is very different from Gabriel and Archer. Callum is a moody rockstar who, let’s be frank, do not really care about what’s happening outside of his bubble. In a way, he’s a female version of Crystal, minus the celebrity tag. Jessica, in the contrary, is a little sunflower that manages to break into his shell the minute they meet again. But that’s only the beginning . Jessica has found Callum, but she still has to help him overcome his demon and be truth to himself, even if it cost him his career.
Jessica and Callum’s story is different than the two precedents. At the beginning (their second one), their relationship is more of a « no string attached » one. It’s obvious that there is more, but you know : denial is our biggest enemy. You’ve got to wait for destiny to finish its work… and for Callum to meet Jessica halfway. It’s a long way, but totally worth it !
